$10 Movie Tickets | Things to do in Auckland #3

Here’s a thrifty idea on a boring night. I’m sure everyone’s felt the $16.50 ticket fee just to watch a movie for 2 hours is a little too pricey. How about if that went down to $10 without having to wait for Tuesday? Well, now it’s possible with Berkeley Cinema’s Wednesday-Sunday deal.

This is such an incredible deal. Who doesn't like cheapo movies? Newly released movies are actually available at a cheaper price with this deal: $9.90 on 2D screens and $13.50 on 3D.  And the best part – you have five days of the week to choose from. It doesn’t say on the website, but I think it’s only applicable after 5pm.

Unfortunately this deal is only for the Berkeley (now under Hoyts) Cinemas at the Takapuna and Mission Bay Branch. Yay for the big kids at North Shore and Central – but for everywhere else... 

Also, by the looks of things, I don’t think many people know about this amazing deal! The cinemas are still pretty empty each time I visit.

There is one set back to this! It gets pretty addictive. Although you’re spending less per visit, you will be tempted to visit more especially with winter coming up. Well, happy spending :)
