At times it pays to follow some bboys on Instagram. Not only do we see how passionate they are about their dance but also how passionate they are for the culture. I came across this picture posted by Nasty Ray which sparked one heated debate and a clash of opinions.
A lot of interesting points were raised so I thought I might share it with everyone else who don't have Instagram. #bboyproblems ;D So read through and see what do you think? Btw, sorry for the inconsistent sizing of the comments. But hey, at least you can read it. And I put every single comment down right to the end.
My only response is that I thought the discussion was unnecessary even though it raised some interesting points. I think it all came down to one misunderstanding. Nasty Ray wasn't implying that Bobbievie was his manager, he was just stating the fact that BV would make a good manager for a "professional" dancer, which he (Nasty) himself is not. (Just my guess).
I don't think his decision to stay away from the project had anything to do with the money at all. This picture was merely to depict what a "professional" dancer's manager would look like. At the end of the day, he's still Culture Over Currency ;D
Good read though. The devotion of bboys to their culture is still alive :]
Peaces.
