Ok, I’ll be straight up honest. I’m not one of Jay Park’s
fangirls – it just so happens he’s an article-writeable kind of guy with a
fashion sense I like. The other day I was looking for what’s new with my fave k-bboy crew, Rivers and I came across a Korean Assassins poster instead. It was for a party hosted by bboy Jotee (who we know as part of both Rivers and Korean Assassins). They have
a new logo, which may be ancient news to some but to me it was still new and
still strikingly fresh! I dig it.
To stick with the 'Assassins' picture, violence has been a recurring theme in their logos, with the
skulls and guns, and now perhaps the most violent yet – the itchy and scratchy
theme. Heh. It’s violently cute actually. It was designed by Rookie’s (of
Rivers Crew) girlfriend. Jay Park and Shorty Force are up there sporting the tank
top with the logo (encased inside Bart Simpson’s head).
I’m a bgirl – well was. I still am at heart though. I never
really dig (or dug) the tomboy fashion sense that some bgirls had taken after.
So I’m always on the lookout for something cute like this but at the same time
makes an edgy statement. (So funny that suddenly a simple supporter’s
tee had become some kind of fashion highlight for me. But it’s so completely
legit, so why not, right?)
To get your hands on one you need to email the KA Crew so I’m not entirely sure if they’re still doing it or not.
